Maa Durga represents Shakti—the supreme divine energy that sustains creation and destroys destructive forces. Her ten arms, each bearing a divine weapon or symbol, signify the multifaceted strength required to protect righteousness and restore cosmic balance.

She is simultaneously the compassionate mother who protects her children and the formidable warrior who confronts evil without hesitation. Her image teaches us that compassion must coexist with courage, and that kindness should never be mistaken for weakness.

The worship of Maa Durga also affirms the spiritual significance of feminine power. It reminds society to respect women, protect their dignity, uphold their rights and recognise their indispensable contribution to family, culture and civilisation.

The true worship of Maa Durga begins when we make a sincere effort to overcome these destructive tendencies. A person who speaks the language of devotion but practises cruelty, dishonesty or injustice has yet to understand the full significance of the Divine Mother's message.

Mahalaya invites us to undertake an inner transformation—to replace hatred with compassion, ignorance with wisdom, fear with courage and selfishness with service.

The most meaningful offering to Maa Durga is not merely a ritual performed before an image of the Goddess, but a life guided by integrity, humanity and righteousness.

הודו אינה רק שמה של ארץ על המפה. הודו היא מולדתנו, זהותנו, גאוותנו, כבודנו וחלק בלתי נפרד מקיומנו.

זוהי הארץ שעל אדמתה נולדנו, שבאווירה גדלנו, ובהיסטוריה שלה נכתבו פרקי גבורה והקרבה. אינספור לוחמי חירות הקדישו את חייהם למען עצמאותה. לכן, חובתנו כלפי הודו אינה יכולה להסתכם ברגשות או בסיסמאות בלבד. עלינו לבטא את אהבתנו למולדת באמצעות מעשינו, יושרנו, מסירותנו, תחושת האחריות שלנו ושירותנו למען האומה.

המבחן האמיתי לאהבת המולדת הוא המעשים.

כאשר שופט עושה צדק ביושר וללא משוא פנים, עורך דין נאבק למען הצדק, רופא מטפל בחולים במסירות, מורה מחנך את הדור הצעיר להיות אזרחים טובים, חקלאי מגדל מזון עבור העם, חייל מגן על גבולות המדינה ואזרח מן השורה ממלא את חובותיו ביושר — כל אחד מהם משרת את הודו בדרכו.

עלינו לזכור שבנייתה של אומה אינה מוטלת על הממשלה בלבד. יסודותיה של מדינה חזקה נשענים גם על יושרו של כל אזרח, על עבודתו הקשה, על משמעתו ועל תחושת האחריות שלו.

דחו את השחיתות. אל תשלימו עם עוול. כבדו את החוק. שמרו על ערכי החוקה. לעולם אל תקריבו את טובת המדינה למען רווח אישי.

שירות למען המולדת אינו מחייב תמיד מעשים גדולים; גם מילוי המטלות הקטנות ביותר ביושר ובמסירות הוא שירות אצילי למדינה.

🇮🇳 הקריבו למען הודו

ההיסטוריה של הודו היא היסטוריה של הקרבה. אומץ לבם של לוחמי העצמאות, נחישותם של המהפכנים, מסירותם של החיילים המגינים על הגבולות ותרומתם של אינספור משרתים אלמונים למען המולדת ימשיכו לעורר בנו השראה לעד.

אך הקרבה בימינו אינה פירושה רק מסירת החיים. ויתור על אנוכיות, אומץ לעמוד נגד עוול, דחיית פיתויי השחיתות, עזרה לזולת בעת מצוקה והקדשת זמן, מאמץ וכישורים לטובת הציבור — כל אלה הם ביטויים אמיתיים להקרבה למען המולדת.

כדי להקריב למען הודו, עלינו לטפח תחילה בתוכנו יושר, אומץ, איפוק ותחושת חובה.

אהבת המולדת אינה שנאה עיוורת. פטריוטיות אמיתית פירושה לאהוב את המדינה, לכבד את חוקיה ואת חוקתה, לשמור על כבודם של אזרחיה ולעמוד איתן למען שלום, צדק ואחדות לאומית.

התחייבותנו למען הודו

הבה נתחייב יחד:

• להגן על אחדותה של הודו, על שלמותה הטריטוריאלית ועל ריבונותה.

• לכבד כל אזרח הודי, מעבר להבדלי דת, שפה, מוצא וזהות אזורית.

• לכבד את החוק, את החוקה ואת הערכים הדמוקרטיים.

• להיאבק בשחיתות, בעוול, באפליה ובשנאה חברתית בדרכים חוקיות ושלוות.

• למלא את חובותינו המקצועיות והאישיות ביושר, במסירות ובאחריות.

• לפעול למען הודו מפותחת יותר, משכילה יותר, בטוחה יותר, חזקה יותר ואנושית יותר עבור הדורות הבאים.

אל לנו לדרוש מן המדינה זכויות בלבד; עלינו גם למלא את חובותינו כלפיה. אל לנו רק לדבר על תהילתה של הודו; עלינו לפעול כדי להגדיל את תהילתה באמצעות מעשינו.

עתידה של הודו לא נבנה רק בזכות גיבורי העבר. הוא נבנה מחדש מדי יום גם באמצעות מעשיהם, אופיים ותחושת האחריות של אזרחי ההווה.

الهند ليست مجرد اسمٍ لأرضٍ جغرافية، بل هي وطننا الأم، وهويتنا، وفخرنا، وكرامتنا، وجزءٌ لا يتجزأ من وجودنا.

إنها الأرض التي وُلدنا عليها، والهواء الذي نتنفسه، والتاريخ الذي سطّره الأبطال بتضحياتهم، والوطن الذي بذل عدد لا يُحصى من المناضلين أرواحهم من أجل استقلاله. ولذلك، فإن واجبنا تجاه الهند لا ينبغي أن يقتصر على المشاعر والشعارات، بل يجب أن يتجسّد في أعمالنا اليومية، وأمانتنا، وإخلاصنا، وتحملنا للمسؤولية، وخدمتنا للوطن.

🇮🇳 عِشْ من أجل الهند

إن العيش من أجل الهند لا يعني مجرد ترديد الشعارات الوطنية، بل يعني الدفاع عن كرامة الوطن، والوقوف إلى جانب أبناء الشعب، ومساعدة الضعفاء والمحتاجين، وتعزيز الوحدة الوطنية والوئام الاجتماعي.

قد تختلف لغاتنا وأدياننا وثقافاتنا وأساليب حياتنا، لكننا ننتمي إلى وطن واحد، ونحمل هوية وطنية مشتركة، ويجمعنا الدستور الهندي.

إن القوة الحقيقية للهند تكمن في الوحدة رغم التنوع.

فالمواطن الذي يضع المصلحة العامة فوق مصالحه الشخصية، ويقف بشجاعة في وجه الظلم، ويحترم كرامة الإنسان وحقوقه، هو الذي يجسّد المعنى الحقيقي للوطنية.

🇮🇳 اعمل من أجل الهند

إن الاختبار الحقيقي للوطنية يظهر في الأفعال.

فعندما يؤدي القاضي عمله بنزاهة وحياد، ويناضل المحامي من أجل العدالة، ويعالج الطبيب مرضاه بإخلاص، ويُعِدّ المعلم أجيالاً من المواطنين الصالحين، وينتج المزارع الغذاء للشعب، ويحمي الجندي حدود الوطن، ويؤدي المواطن العادي واجباته بأمانة، فإن كل واحد منهم يخدم الهند من موقعه ومسؤوليته.

يجب أن نتذكر أن مسؤولية بناء الوطن لا تقع على الحكومة وحدها، بل تقوم أسس الدولة القوية أيضاً على صدق كل مواطن، واجتهاده، وانضباطه، وشعوره بالمسؤولية.

ارفضوا الفساد. لا تتصالحوا مع الظلم. احترموا القانون. حافظوا على قيم الدستور. ولا تضحّوا بمصلحة الوطن من أجل مكاسب شخصية.

إن العمل من أجل الوطن لا يتطلب دائماً إنجازات عظيمة؛ فأداء الواجبات الصغيرة بأمانة وإخلاص هو أيضاً شكلٌ نبيل من أشكال خدمة الوطن.

🇮🇳 ضَحِّ من أجل الهند

إن تاريخ الهند هو تاريخٌ حافل بالتضحيات. فشجاعة أبطال الاستقلال، وعزيمة الثوار، وتفاني الجنود المرابطين على الحدود، وإسهامات عدد لا يُحصى من خَدَمة الوطن المجهولين، ستظل مصدر إلهام لنا إلى الأبد.

لكن التضحية في عصرنا لا تعني فقط بذل الروح. فالتخلي عن الأنانية، والتحلي بالشجاعة لمواجهة الظلم، ورفض إغراءات الفساد، والوقوف إلى جانب الناس في أوقات الشدة، وتخصيص الوقت والجهد والقدرات لخدمة المصلحة العامة، كلها صورٌ من صور التضحية من أجل الوطن.

ولكي نضحّي من أجل الهند، علينا أولاً أن نُنمّي في أنفسنا الأمانة والشجاعة وضبط النفس والإحساس بالواجب.

إن الوطنية ليست دعوةً إلى الكراهية العمياء. فالوطنية الحقيقية تعني حب الوطن، واحترام القانون والدستور، وصون كرامة المواطنين، والوقوف بثبات إلى جانب السلام والعدالة والوحدة الوطنية.

عهدنا من أجل الهند

فلنتعاهد معاً على ما يلي:

• أن نظل يقظين في حماية وحدة الهند وسلامة أراضيها وسيادتها.

• أن نحترم كرامة كل هندي، متجاوزين الاختلافات الدينية واللغوية والعرقية والإقليمية.

• أن نلتزم باحترام القانون والدستور والقيم الديمقراطية.

• أن نواجه الفساد والظلم والتمييز والكراهية الاجتماعية بوسائل قانونية وسلمية.

• أن نؤدي أعمالنا ومهامنا المهنية بأمانة وإخلاص ومسؤولية.

• أن نعمل من أجل تسليم الأجيال القادمة هنداً أكثر تقدماً وتعليماً وأماناً وقوةً وإنسانية.

لا ينبغي لنا أن نطالب بحقوقنا من الوطن فحسب، بل علينا أيضاً أن نؤدي واجباتنا تجاهه. ولا يكفي أن نتحدث عن مجد الهند، بل يجب أن نسعى إلى تعزيز هذا المجد من خلال أعمالنا.

فمستقبل الهند لم تصنعه تضحيات أبطال الماضي وحدهم؛ بل يتشكل كل يوم أيضاً من خلال أعمال مواطني الحاضر، وأخلاقهم، وشعورهم بالمسؤولية.

فلنجعل حبنا للوطن يظهر في كل عمل نقوم به، لا في الكلمات وحدها. ولتكن وطنيتنا سبباً في الوحدة لا الانقسام، ومصدراً للشجاعة لا للكراهية، ودافعاً إلى البناء لا إلى الهدم.

لتكن الأمانة عنواننا، والوحدة مصدر قوتنا، والعدالة مبدأنا، وبناء هند قوية ومزدهرة وسلمية ومشرّفة هدفنا في الحياة.
