Section 18 in West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1972

18. Power to borrow

.- A market committee may, with the previous sanction of the State Government, [raise money, by taking loan from the State Bank of India or any other bank or otherwise, required] [Substituted for "raise money required" by the West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) (Amendment) Act, 1977, section 8.] for carrying out the purposes of this Act on the security of any property vested in and belonging to such committee.

(2)A market committee may, subject to such conditions as may be imposed by the State Government, obtain loan from the State Government.
