Brotherhood and Moral Strength – A Reflection on India's Ethos
The world must take note —
we are not the Boss, but the Brother.
Our strength does not lie in domination,
but in understanding, empathy, and balance.
We recognize the shortcomings of others,
not to condemn them,
but to guide, to correct, and to uplift.
Yet when the moment of decision arrives,
we speak the last word —
not with arrogance, but with the quiet authority
of wisdom and experience.
We are blessed with the rare virtue of forgiveness.
The first fault, we pardon —
for mercy is the mark of civilization.
But the next time, we remember;
we learn, we discern,
and we act with clarity of what is right and what is not.
Ours is not a spirit of vengeance,
but of moral firmness —
gentle in tone, steadfast in principle.
Joy Hind.
