Chhathi Maiya, also known as Usha, is the Goddess of dawn and consort of Surya Dev, the Sun God. In the Mahabharata, it is believed that Kunti and Draupadi worshipped Surya and Usha for blessings of strength and prosperity, linking Chhath Puja to ancient Vedic traditions.
