No.: NPL/TTE/Workmen-ALL/2025-26 Date:
3rd December, 2025
URGENT & FINAL
NOTICE
TO ALL WORKERS / EMPLOYEES / LABOUR
The
Management of Nuddea Plantations
Limited is deeply concerned about the continued absence from duty by a
large number of Workers / Employees / Labour of the Totapara Tea Garden since 19th
October, 2025, without obtaining leave or permission. The present period
of unauthorized absence has now
reached 39 (Thirty-Nine) Days,
which has pushed the Garden into a state of industrial and financial emergency.
Despite
repeated appeals, issuance of multiple notices, and a tripartite discussion held in the Office of
the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kathalguri Building, Kadamtala, Jalpaiguri
on 24/11/2025, a section of workers has deliberately refused to rejoin duty, crippling the functioning of
the Garden.
During
this unlawful absence, the following serious consequences have already
occurred;
(i)
Complete loss of crop due to non-plucking, pushing the Garden into extreme
financial distress.
(ii) Inability to
raise operational funds,
affecting wage security, rations, medical services, and welfare facilities.
(iii)
Massive destruction and theft of Garden properties, including cutting of shade trees,
uprooting of tea bushes, and other illegal activities endangering the estate
and its residents.
The
continuation of such actions is not only illegal but gravely endangers the livelihood, safety, and the future of thousands of
dependent families living inside the Garden.
In the larger interest of all workmen and to protect
their livelihood, the Management hereby issues this FINAL CALL: All Workers / Employees / Labour are directed to resume duty immediately within 3
(Three) Days / 72 (Seventy-Two) Hours from the date and time of issuance of
this Notice.
Attendance
shall be taken at the factory gate / respective division sheds.
Failure to comply within the stipulated time will
result in the following actions without further notice;
- Removal of names from muster roll for continuous unauthorized
absence;
- Blocking of wage and statutory benefits of non-attendees as per law;
- Disciplinary and legal action against individuals found involved in
unlawful destruction and theft of Garden properties;
- Police complaint and criminal proceedings for trespass, theft, and
disturbance of industrial peace.
The
Management reiterates that this final
notice is being issued not against the workers, but for the workers,
to restore normalcy, protect employment, and secure the future of their
families and the Garden.
All
workers are therefore urged to act
responsibly and resume duty without fail so that wages, rations,
plucking operations, and other welfare benefits can restart immediately.
By Order of the Management
