The First Step Towards Improvement
“If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid.” — Epictetus
Accepting our mistakes and weaknesses is not a defeat; it is the beginning of self-improvement. A person who believes that they are always right eventually stops learning. In contrast, one who honestly examines their conduct continues to grow wiser and better.
Admitting a mistake does not make a person smaller; it makes them wiser, stronger and greater.
