Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival in which a sister ties a decorative thread around her brother’s wrist. It is a sacred celebration of affection, trust, responsibility and lifelong companionship. The delicate thread of the Rakhi may appear physically fragile, yet it carries within it the strength of countless emotions, childhood memories, silent sacrifices and enduring family values.

On this auspicious day, a sister ties the Rakhi upon her brother’s wrist and prays for his health, happiness, prosperity and long life. The brother, in return, gives her his sincere assurance of affection, dignity, assistance and protection throughout life. This exchange is not merely a customary ritual; it is a solemn reaffirmation that neither distance, time nor changing circumstances can weaken their relationship.
